Green beer, shamrocks and pots of gold are what comes to mind on St. Patrick’s Day. We are helping keep roads safe on this Irish holiday with our “I’ll Drive” campaign.
You drink. We drive. You win.
The most important piece of advice: If you drink, don’t drive. If you drive, don’t drink. Beer is one of the most widely consumed beverages on St. Patrick’s Day. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2018, more than 60% of crash fatalities involved a drunk driver. For this reason, Suhre & Associates offers these “I’ll Drive” cards to allow patrons to make the safer choice and receive free fare home if picked up within a .25 mile radius of each establishment, and are good from March 13, 2020 8:00 PM EST until March 18, 2020 6:00 AM.
Joe Suhre, owner and principal attorney of the firm – with offices in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana – has dedicated his nearly 20 years of practice to assisting drivers charged with DUI and says that, “We understand that people like to go out and celebrate holidays that involve a heavy consumption of alcohol. We want our community safe. Make the right choice and don’t get behind the wheel while impaired.”
Walking home can be just as dangerous. Drivers should keep an eye out for pedestrians who have had too much to drink. Statistics show that the odds of finding a four-leaf clover are about 1 in 10,000. The odds of you getting a DUI are much greater. Don’t test your luck and party with a plan this holiday season.
“DUI is probably the most expensive Uber ride you didn’t take. Our goal is to always protect our clients’ rights and to defend them to the best of our ability – but we also believe in prevention. Be honest with yourself and designate a sober ride home before the big event starts. The “I’ll Drive” campaign is our way of trying to prevent the danger presented by drunk driving.”
